C2W #2: What Does God Expect?

Nick Roller C2W #2: What Does God Expect?

On this second episode of the Called 2 Witness Podcast, we jump into a huge question among Christians today, “What does God expect of me?”. Do I just go to church, pray before I eat, and try to keep myself from the serious sins? Or does God expect more?

There is a great starting point in Micah 6:8:

Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good;
and what doth the Lord require of thee,
but to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with thy God?

But there is more here than just “doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God”. These three things completely change our lives and the world around us. The basis is a life commitment with Jesus Christ.

Also I discuss why, definitely, this world needs a change for the good with recent news including:

  • The Target transgender bathroom switch with the new sexless society
  • ISIS and the force behind it
  • The July 2015 Supreme Court decision that made gay, homosexual, LGBT marriage rights legal

But can we hide from this? NO! My main focus in this episode is about making our faith public.

Other scripture I mention in this episode:

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Jeremiah 20:9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him,
nor speak any more in his name.
But his word was in mine heart
as a burning fire shut up in my bones,
and I was weary with forbearing,
and I could not stay.

James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

And then I issue a challenge to fully embrace the gospel.

And that’s all coming up now on Episode 2 of Called 2 Witness!
